It’s all about the love. Loving what you do, who you do it for, and spreading it around.

LOVE on the BLOCKS are created by me, Jessica Sun Lee. As an interactive/digital designer for over a decade, I wanted to make something three dimensional that could be held and felt. Combining my love for photography, design and composition, with a hands-on process is a whole ‘nother level of rewarding.

LOVE on the BLOCKS is about magnifying positive energy. It’s about perpetuating love for the sake of love and, well, art. It feels good to make something that I know somebody is going to look at and feel happy. Every block I create gets my full attention and proper time to make it special. It’s a way to give back to the people, places, and things that we love. Because there’s just so much to love these days, I’ve recently expanded beyond the wall art to include clothes for kids, your table top, and totes to put your other favorite things into.

Each block is made from a 12×12 or 6×6 birch panel cradled onto a 1 inch frame. Using a process that took months to develop, the design is transferred onto the carefully chosen piece of wood in a way that retains its natural texture and patterns. It’s sprayed with a waterproof UV protective coat to withstand many years on your shelf or wall. You can choose your border or let me decide what I think works. The blocks are also hollow, making hanging from any angle easy.

Expect little areas of degradation as it’s a normal part of the process and adds to the charm. I wanted to go beyond a direct photo to canvas. If you want something that feels more organic, commission a block of love from yours truly. <3
